NEWS UPDATE
CONGRATULATIONS
To Tracey Griffin who won the Skills Olympic finals held at the SOF weekend last month.
Up against stiff competition, Tracey produced a wonderful array of designs during the gruelling 15 and a half hour competition. While the joy of winning was, to put it mildly, spoilt by the fact she won’t be able to represent the UK in Montreal, (she’ll be just too old) the fact she knew this could happen even before she took part in the finals makes her win all the more special as she didn‘t allow her standards to slip one jot.
Speaking after her win, Tracey told us: “Obviously I’m deeply disappointed but I know Claire will represent the UK well and wish her every success. In addition to her trophy Tracey has also be awarded a special prize of a consultancy role with Zwetsloots.
Eds Note: Because Tracey will be four months too old at the time of the competition, Claire Tosh from Country Antrim, winner of the Interflora heat and runner up in the finals will now go on to Montreal, working with the help and guidance of the UK Floristry Technical Expert, Paul Norman NDSE AIFD.
